On Character

"Character is like a tree and reputation like its shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing." Abraham Lincoln

I just read this article about Lincoln.

Men like him and Goethe fascinate me. Men who left their mark despite many self-doubts and failures. Indeed, confidence is not the absence of self-doubt, but the ability to fight it, and march on.

I am becoming more and more interested in biographies. They assure me. :)

Well, whatever that block is called 'the writers' one.. you surely ought to write prob'lly a book of stories or anything.. with the kind of ideas you get, I am sure it'll be a bestseller.
Have the 'wont power'.. that you wont open gmail or orkut the next time you open ur word doc!
The words will flow.. and the rest as they say, will be history! Cheers!

Bout the post on Character- its actually all bout the 'real thing'! I couldnt agree more.. and the biographies tell you that all great ppl have been accused and attacked on it.. but its the ability to fight al that and move on!!
In b/w,check this out
"The best index to a person's character is how he treats people who can't do him any good, and how he treats people who can't fight back."
Abigail Van Buren
